† Coolest Bus Stops I've Ever Seen †

Bus stop can be seen anywhere and everywhere. However, creative bus stops ain't that easy to be found. Here's a few bus stops that I think are really cool.

Of course there are many more interesting bus stops available in Google Images but these are the on 5 that attract my attention.

† Inflamed Acne On My Nose!! †

This is the worst acne ever... Half a cent big and it is severely inflamed. Worse of all, the stupid acne makes my nose looks like a clown nose that can even see it with my own eyes without using the mirror *cried*.

It all started out with a single tiny black head on my nose and I accidentally stretched it while playing badminton. I guess thats where the contamination got into it.

Thank God the acne burst today. Things were quite messy and I've decided to cover it up with a plaster. Acne oh acne, please do not visit me any more, I'm 25 already and I don't need them anymore T.T

What To Do
  1. BEFORE: Preventive care is always the best. To keep your nose clean before an acne attacks you. Wash your face twice daily with facial scrub and toner will be good after each face washing.
  2. DURING: Avoid touching the inflamed area. Topical antibiotic or benzoyl peroxide will help reducing the inflammation.
  3. AFTER: Post acne care is very important. The skin needs to heal and therefore supplements such as antioxidants are useful. Do not ever touch the wound until it has fully healed.

How To Detox

† Detox & Detox Diets †

Detox is the short-form word for detoxification, where it is a natural ongoing process of neutralizing or eliminating unwanted toxins from the body.

What is toxin?
Toxin, also known as substances that can potentially harm our body tissues. Toxins that we usually encounter in our daily life include those that being produced in the body such as ammonia during breakdown of protein, pesticides, food additives, cigarette, etc...

How to detox?
There are a few ways of performing detoxification effectively. One of the natural detoxification processes is via proper elimination of stools and urine and thus one of the aims here is to improve elimination of stools and urine in order to decrease absorption of toxin into the body. Another way of detoxification is via detox diets.

What is detox diet?
Detox diet is mainly a short-term diet that helps to minimize the amount of chemicals ingested by replacing our routine food with organic food. Detox diet also emphasizes food that provide sufficient vitamins, nutrients and most importantly antioxidants that helps in enhancing the effect of detoxification.

What is the detox diet plan?
I find a meat-free-7-days detox diet plan is the easiest to comply.
  1. Upon waking up: lemon (can be added with sea salt to enhance liver cleansing effect) to be squeezed into a glass of warm water (it is proven that warm water has calming effect to the gastrointestinal tract) + honey (best to be royal jelly but remember not to use metal spoon).
  2. Breakfast: blended fruit including mixture of cucumber, big root, green apple and celery as a drink mixture, Brown rice cereal or oat meal will be good. Supplements such as vitamin C 500 - 1000mg can be taken as well as grape seed oil or flaxseed oil.
  3. Snacks: diluted apple juice (best with sugar-free product), vegetable mixture and drink plenty of plain fluid.
  4. Lunch: use brown rice instead of normal rice as it contains fibers that help to increase HDL, as well as acting as a bulk laxative in cleansing the colon. Steamed broccoli is best to be taken however in certain people who's taking warfarin (anti-coagulant) should avoid it. Apple vinegar can be used as a taste enhancer.
  5. Snacks: carrot (beta-carotene) or celery sticks, along with supplements such as milk thistle (a supplement that helps in cleansing of liver). Our liver works well and its natural detoxification process usually takes place at 11pm - 3am.
  6. Dinner: low amount of macaroni or spaghetti, along with vegetables. Best with boiled tomatoes (boiled tomatoes are nutritionally better) and garlic (powerful anti oxidants that is believed to protect the stomach from cancer). Supplements such as flaxseed oil up to 1000mg or

As you can see from the plan above, it may look complicated but if you see it properly, it contains no meat at all. Therefore I think a detox diet is not only about supplements or organic food or special diet but simply by cutting down intake of meat at the same time increases consumption of vegetable will be good enough for the body.

† Bike Chain †

Bike chains are something too common to be seen. When a chain is broken, people usually just discard them away without thinking of recycling it. There are a few interesting gadgets can be invented using broken or unused bike chain.

A bike chain beer-opener, looks interesting and creative.

Bike chain bowl to put your keys and watches, can always be a catchy thing to show-off to your friends.

How about key chain? This key chain is attached along with a beer opener and it looks really cool.

Photo frame made of bike chain may look bulky but its cool.

A bracelet? Well, I think this design is rather bad because girls most probably will not choose to wear this bracelet.

† Teo Chew Food In Kuantan †

Thats my exhausted and sleepy face after a badminton game today and I had a really tough game that I think I've loss a few thousand kcal in those games I've played.

Of course under such hypoxic and hypoglycemic condition that I need to reward myself with some nice food and thus me along with William, Han Ping, Quek and Kheng Ying decided to have a Teo Chew dinner somewhere in Semambu and the restaurant is called "Zheng Kung Fu".

Well, Teo Chew food is basically simple but nice to eat. Here we have a 'man tofu'. I think the salty sauce goes well with the lack-of-taste tofu as a compensation.

This is something weird ordered by Han Ping. Erm... what do we call it.... errr... 'egg tea' if I'm not mistaken. I guess Han Ping is over excited that he beat me 21 - 20 in the final badminton single match and he decided to reward himself with this weird high protein juice.

Yuummm... this is my favourite dish: the crispy skin chicken. "Crunch!!!" This is how it sounds like when you bite the chicken.

Another high protein dish, egg with soy sauce. As usual, I'll discard the egg yolk and I only ingest the egg white.

This little bowl of soup is called piggy tummy soup, ordered by William. According to him, Klang's piggy tummy soup is 100 times better than this one. Whatever...

And finally, the dish of the day: 'honey vinegar baked chicken'. Yummy, your taste bud get to feel two distinct sweet and sour taste at your tongue at the same time and I think this dish had somehow stimulates our appetite towards the end.

† Interesting Bottle Holder †

This little interesting gadget is actually a bottle holder it is called the 'bottle clip'. Bottle clip is designed by Mattias Ries in aiming to solve bikers' main problem in bringing their water bottle while cycling.

The Bottle Clip is also designed to be a cheap bottle holder that snaps onto your bike, and it features a standard sized bottle cap so you can attach the majority of water bottles on to it.

The only drawback about this clip is that we've no idea how heavy a bottle that the clip can hold. I can't imagine if a 1.5 liter bottle is to be attached on it.

† The Lost Room †

I've spent my whole day watching this 3 episodes of mini series called "The Lost Room". To be honest, this show is simply terrific! It is a science fiction series about a non-existed room and some of the very common everyday items from that room which possess unusual power once they are brought out from the room.

The storyline is about Joe Miller who accidentally obtains an unknown key that has the ability to open any door around him as long as the door has a knob and a key hole. Whenever the door is opened, there will be a room appears in front of his view even if he uses the key to open a public toilet.

Due to certain conflicts over the key, Joe's daughter is trapped in the room and disappeared. In order to find his daughter, Joe has to find out the origin of the mysterious room.

According the the series I've watched, the room is the non-existent room 10 at the abandoned Sunshine Motel somewhere in Mexico. In year 1961, something happened at room 9 of that motel, causing all these phenomena to occur.

From what I've learned from the series, room 10 can only be assessed by the key holder. The key holder can bring anyone into the room but they must leave the room together or else when the room door is closed, the person inside the room will disappear just like Joe's daughter into an unknown place. Even if an object is left in the room, once the door is closed and reopened again, the object will vanish.

The fun part is that, Joe realizes that there are up to 100 items in the room and these items (known as 'The Objects' in the series) are indestructible outside the room. All of them have unique and unbelievable abilities for instance, a pen that can produce microwaves that burns an object, a scissor that turns anything upside down and many more. However in the series, some objects for example the television seen in the picture above, the power is remained unknown.

Apparently there are a few rules can be observed in the series. One of it is that I mentioned about anything that is left in the room will disappear once the door is closed. However, this rule does not apply on The Objects. Interestingly The Objects will reset to the place they are supposed to be. For instance, the pen will always to be seen on the table whenever the door is opened even if it is thrown under the bed.

Joe learns a lot about the room however there are no answer for the existence of this room. Apparently people are still looking for the answer and even the person who were directly involved in the 1961 incident didn't even know about the cause and the source.

Personally I think this is a great series to watch and I do hope the second part will be released although I have a feeling that there won't be any second part.

† Sweet Intro Found In Grandia III PS2 Game †

I've always love to play RPG games and of course RPG such as Square Enix's Final Fantasy series and Kingdom Heart series were my all time favourites. Grandia III wasn't really an outstanding and impressive PS2 game however its intro together with the soundtracks were really good that I can't help myself looking at the intro again and again.

The intro of Grandia III started interestingly with a young boy (whose name is Schmidt) built his own manually operated airplane in order to reach the sky but eventually he failed. Without giving up his hope and ambition, he continued his journey in order to become a world class pilot and he did it. All the glorious moments of grown up Schimidt were all seen by young Yuki through the video tapes and Yuki aimed to become a great pilot like Schmidt. So here's the intro video clip thats been uploaded in YouTube.

The songs of Grandia III are mostly said to be very ear soothing. Most important of all, I think Noriyuki Iwarade did a good job in composing the theme of Grandia III. Similar to Yoko Shimomura, Noriyuki Iwarade is one of the popular music composer for tons of games. His style of music is slightly different from that of Yoko where Yoko's music tends to sound new age and mystical where as Noriyuki's music is more catchie and happy.

Apparently there are two versions of the theme song. This is the one that is heard from the intro video clip and its title is Legendary Pilot King. As for the second version, which is also the completed album version is called Theme of Grandia III.

† Get A Bite! Get Sri Jaya Pillow Pau! †

French bread, German bread, Irish bread... These are some of the world class famous bread we've always heard of. What about Chinese bread? Of course Chinese bread is famous as well.

Chinese bread is also known as 'pau' (包子) and its mainly white in color and is a type of steamed filled bun. Here we have an interesting pau that I've found in Sri Jaya, Pahang and this pau is known as 'Pillow Pau'. Sounds interesting aye?

So why do we call it pillow pau? As you can see from the picture above, the pillow pau really looks like what its name has been given: a pillow. Its huge in size but is adorable.

This pillow pau costs me RM7.50 and you know what, it takes 3 person to finish it. The texture is soft, and what I like the most is its filling.

Due to its rolled-up structure of the inner part, pillow pau actually tastes good and not too dry. There are 3 types of fillings available: kaya paste, peanuts and tau sa (black bean). Well then, get a bite, get Sri Jaya pillow pau!
